Chef Stefan Czapalay is a Certified Chef de Cuisine (c.c.c.) and one of Canada's most respected culinary innovators — better described as a culinary activist than simply a chef.
His career spans four decades, from early mentorship under the late Chef Alex Clavel to senior roles at the Ritz-Carlton, Sheraton, and beyond. A fierce champion of sustainable harvesting and locally sourced ingredients, Stefan has served as Corporate Chef for both Clearwater Seafood and McCain Foods, Director of Culinary Innovation at Jazz Fine Foods, and founder of Culinary Design Solutions — with his sea salt products famously earning a spot on Oprah's Christmas list.
A member of the Canadian Culinary Federation, La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, and the Research Chefs Association, he brings world-class expertise and an uncompromising standard to everything he creates.
